Palate
This wine is all about dark flavors, from blueberry to blackberry to the purest dark chocolate. On the palate, the wine is a push-and-pull between its dense but round tannins and its thick mid-palate, a delicious competition to determine which side of its complex personality will prevail. With its fully ripe, blue-black flavors and none of the herbaceousness that Cabernet Franc is somewhat infamous for, this is our original "cult wine," a wine that represents well what we are all about at Pride Mountain Vineyards and that really stands out from the pack.
Growing Conditions
The wine is blended with 12% Cabernet Sauvignon from our County Line Hillside and Winery Ruins (the site of the remains of Summit Winery, established in 1890 and destroyed by fire during the 1920's) vineyard blocks.
