Nose

Welcoming layers of fruit and spice aromas. A blackberry and honey nose.

Palate

A rich mouthfeel; flavors of black tea, cola, black cherry and anise and a lingering smoky finish. Then tannins are soft, making the wine very approachable. Ready to enjoy now. Age worthy 10 years from vintage date.

Growing Conditions

The grapes are grown in Sonoma Valley, Lake County and Napa Valley. Lake County is one of the oldest California wine growing areas (15 miles from Napa Valley) with vineyards of deep volcanic soils and elevations ranging from 1300-1700 feet resulting in great acidity and crisp rich flavors. We brought back an old world tradition of blending a little Syrah into our wine as was historically done in Bordeaux.

The vintage year of 2006 was noteworthy for lively, fruit forward wines.
