A wine of joyous complexity with rich texture and blackberry, ripe cherry and tobacco leaf flavors and aromas. These tannins are soft, making the wine very approachable. So delicious! The addition of Syrah makes a friendly Cabernet, ideal for sipping. Ready to enjoy now. Age worthy 10 years from vintage date.

Growing Conditions

The grapes are grown in Sonoma Valley, Lake County and Napa Valley. Lake County is one of the oldest California wine growing areas (15 miles from Napa Valley) with vineyards of deep volcanic soils and elevations ranging from 1300-1700 feet resulting in great acidity and crisp rich flavors.

The vintage year of 2005 was noteworthy for the balance and smoothness of the wines. The firm tannins originating from lean Lake County soils create the perfect backbone for the fruitiness of Napa Valley.
