Nose

The 2013 Intrada opens with elegant aromas of guava, white peach, and juicy apple. The light floral notes are reminiscent of a spring bouquet.

Palate

On the palate it is very elegant, presenting soft vanilla notes from the oak. Wonderfully balanced with a chalky minerality rounding out with a crisp and long lemon tart finish.

Growing Conditions

A warm, dry spring brought early bud break. This created ideal conditions for flowering and fruit set under sunny skies. With the exception of one heat spike in late June/early July, temperatures were consistent. The result notably healthy vines.

Aging

6 months Sur Lie. 55% barrel fermented & aged in a concrete egg, stirred once a week. 14% aged in new French oak puncheons stirred twice a week. The balance aged in stainless steel.
