Nose

Aromas of vanilla bean, stone fruit and juicy Golden Delicious apple lead to notes of lemon tart and baking spices.

Palate

The palate lends a silky mouthfeel followed by an intriguing, tangy acidity. A lasting finish of spice, graphite and fine minerality are enhanced by the presence of new French oak in this wine.

Growing Conditions

In homage to the renowned white Bordeaux houses, Intrada is sourced solely from French clones (317 and 376). The Longwood Vineyard, where the grapes are grown, provides ideal conditions for showcasing the floral, citrus, and herbal aromas that these unique clones are known for. The 2016 vintage presented an optimal growing season that remained constant and warm without any heat spikes. This allowed for an extended ripening period and longer hangtime for the fruit, resulting in slower development and a greater intensity of flavors.

Winemaking

Intrada is a Bordeaux-style Sauvignon Blanc with a small percentage of Sémillon added to the blend that varies from year-to-year based on the characteristics of the vintage.
