Nose
It has a complex, expressive nose of cassis, violets and sandalwood.
Palate
This wine has a rich attack, a mouth-coating mid-palate and great return of fruit on the long, medium tannic finish. It is drinking well now and will continue to give pleasure through 2021 given proper cellaring.
Appearance
The 1996 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has a medium to dark ruby color.
