Nose
Evolved nose of hazelnut, dried cherries and earthiness.
Palate
It has good attack, an elegant tannic structure and a finish with notes of caramelized berries and chocolate. This wine is past its prime and would be best enjoyed now. May need decanting due to light sediment.
Appearance
The 1976 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has a brick-red to brown color.
