Nose

The nose and palate offer layers of floral (honeysuckle, jasmine, and a hint of lily) and fruit (honeydew, ambrosia melon, pear, and pineapple).

Palate

The round, soft entry introduces the flavors, which carry through to a mouthwatering finish in which minerality, mixed citrus and fresh fennel make appearances.

Growing Conditions

A wet winter and spring continued with rainfall into mid-June that delayed
bloom and disrupted fruit set. We experienced a long, cooler-than-average
growing season. We opened the vine canopies to ensure sunlight, warmth and
good air circulation around the grape clusters. •Interestingly, the weather-induced
smaller crop and long growing season also led to richer flavor development. We
began harvest in early September, nearly three weeks later than normal. We were
rewarded with delicious Sauvignon Blanc grapes that featured distinctive stone
fruit flavors and aromas, including peach, pear, and apricot, not previously
prominent in grapes from our vineyard.
