Nose

The wine displays ripe notes of blue fruit, currant and black cherries along with the complex varietal intrigue of pitch, tobacco, incense and cedar.

Palate

On the palate, the wine is about as full and richly textured as a cabernet can be. With its roundness, intense blue-black color, exotic notes and alluring/comforting structure, this wine brings to mind swaths of Far-Eastern silk. A monumental wine from a near-ideal vintage!
