Palate

Flavors and aromas of green apple and spice marry with the toasty Virginia oak, which lingers long in the finish. The full body and round middle provide a balance, which will complement a wide variety of dishes – a superb food wine.

Growing Conditions

The 1999 growing season resulted from yet another late bud break in Wine Country and Mother Nature dealt us a late vintage once again. We were blessed, however, with abundant warm sunshine throughout the fall and enjoyed a picture perfect ripening season. The Napa Chardonnay block yielded fruit with a very healthy natural acidity and remarkable varietal definition.
