Palate
Complex minerality with underlying cassis, thyme and lavender.
Growing Conditions
The O’Connell Family Estate Vineyard is in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley, that benefits from the cool down effect of late morning fog from the San Francisco Bay. The result is crisp acidity. The warm daytime temperatures slowly ripen the fruit for layers of red fruit deliciousness.
2012 was an ideal year. Warm summer days extended into fall, assuring even ripening to create fruity, beautifully structured wines.
