Palate

Delicious minerality with underlying cassis and raspberry.

Growing Conditions

The Cabernet Sauvignon was grown at the certified organic O’Connell Family Estate Vineyard. The O’Connell Family Estate Vineyard is in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley, that benefits from the cool down effect of late morning fog from the San Francisco Bay. The result is crisp acidity. The warm daytime temperatures slowly ripen the fruit for layers of red fruit deliciousness. 2013 was an ideal year. Warm summer days extended into late fall, allowing slow ripening to create fruity, beautifully structured wines.

Aging

Barrel aged in neutral French Oak 4 months.

Food Pairing

Goat cheese, sautéed fish & veal simply prepared. Or just sip! Serve chilled. Drinkable now. Consume as a young wine.
