On the palate, it is an explosion of white and red berry flavors, with creamy layers of white cherry, yellow plums, fresh pear and vanilla, underlined by a refreshing acidity. The long-lasting finish is dominated by freshly baked biscuit, toast and nutty flavors. The acidity is bright, crisp and refreshing, giving this wine an exceptional longevity.
This tête de cuvée sparkling wine honors the visionary work of Guy Devaux. DVX wines capture the soul of Napa Valley fruit through meticulous selection of the best lots of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The winemaking team is given carte blanche in crafting this release, using a variety of techniques to harness the strength, power and balance of these lots. The result is a powerful, elegant cuvée that represents one of Napa Valley’s finest sparkling wines.
In appearance, the wine has a brilliant and light golden yellow color, with a mesmerizing stream of tiny bubbles rising to a persistent crown of white mousse.
