Palate

And there were gardens bright with sinuous rills/Where blossomed many an incense-bearing tree...,’ from ‘Kubla Khan,’ the mysterious poem by Samuel Coleridge, evokes for me the garden that is Spring Mountain. A place of beauty, depth, and mystery, but also a place known through its wines for a myriad of perfumes, minerals, and high note characters. The 2011 is no exception, with typical Spring Mountain floral aromatics, raspberry, wet shale minerality, and a spicy finish.
