Nose

Ripe black cherry fruit, hints of coffee and cocoa, black currant in the nose.

Palate

It shows fruit and tannin structure and complexity that portends excellent long-term age worthiness.

Growing Conditions

This is a profoundly complex and deeply scented wine, where both the grape varieties and the regions from which they came are distinctly expressed. This premium proprietary blend, which we have named Paradiso (Pahr-a DEEZ-0h), consists of Cabernet Sauvignon (89%), Merlot (8%) and Petit Verdot (3%). The Cabernet Sauvignon comes from Preston Vineyard, one of our top Rutherford Appellation vineyards, while the Merlot is from our Henry Ranch and finally, the Petit Verdot is from the excellent "Vittorio's Vineyard" adjacent to the winery in St. Helena. The dusty, mocha and cassis-filled Rutherford Cabernet combines with cool-climate, elegant Carneros Merlot, which is then topped off with the inky, cedary, aromatic Vittorio's Vineyard Petit Verdot.
