Growing Conditions

Trefethen Vineyard, Oak Knoll District. This southern valley floor vineyard has deep alluvial soils and warm temperatures, allowing the grapes to develop ripe stone fruit and pineapple aromas.

Winemaking

Picked ripe to develop tropical notes, this wine is fermented in stainless steel and then is moved to French oak barrels to develop weight and richness. It does not go through malolatic fermentation allowing the wine to preserve its bright acidity. A lovely alternative style of Chardonnay.
