Nose
This wine has an evolved nose of hazelnut, cooked strawberries and red pepper.
Palate
It has a tart attack, echoes of cooked fruit on the mid-palate and a lingering finish. Enjoy now through 2016. May need decanting due to light sediment.
Appearance
The 1981 Alexander Valley has a brick-red color.
