Nose
This is still an impressive wine, with aromas of spiced meats, raspberry compote, and a touch of hay.
Palate
It has a massive attack and strong flavors of loose tobacco and cassis. It crescendos and builds momentum through the palate towards a long finish still framed by slightly chalky tannins. Given proper cellaring, this wine can be enjoyed now or will improve through 2030.
Appearance
Our 2002 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has a remarkably concentrated black and opaque hue.
