Nose

Our 2014 Small Lot Collection Carneros Pinot Noir Rosé is a
delicate, medium bodied wine that opens with enticing aromas of
strawberry, jasmine, and white peach with a hint of flinty minerality.

Palate

On the palate, the wine is brilliantly structured and dry, reminiscent of
a Provence Rosé with bright acidity and luscious cranberry, orange
peel, and white plum flavors.

Growing Conditions

The 2014 vintage across California was one of the earliest harvested
vintages in years. A mild winter and spring led to early bud break and
created the perfect environment for flowering and fruit set. With warm
days and cool nights in the summer, grape growers were able to
maintain ideal acid levels with balanced, concentrated fruit flavors.

The grapes for this Pinot Noir Rosé are grown throughout beautiful
vineyards in Sonoma County, mostly in the Russian River Valley. The
region’s proximity to the bay with cool breezes and morning fog make
it the perfect location for growing Pinot Noir with bright acidity and
red berry flavors.

Winemaking

Using the saignée technique, this wine was fermented
mostly in stainless steel tanks with a small amount in neutral French
oak

Aging

This elegant wine was sure lie aged for 5-6 months, with the lees
being stirred once a month.

Food Pairing

This wine makes the perfect pairing for
quiche, rosemary flatbread, or chicken sofrito.
