Nose

This dry Rosé is crisp and fragrant featuring fresh strawberry, with
hints of toast, and hibiscus aromas.

Palate

Flavors of strawberry, juicy
blood orange, and sweet cherry marmalade fill the palate leading to
a lengthy finish.

Growing Conditions

The 2015 Napa Valley growing season started out with unseasonably
warm temperatures in the late winter and early spring. This resulted in an
early bud break and bloom. Colder temperatures in May caused an
uneven fruit set which ultimately resulted in much smaller crop compared
to the three years previous.
The harvest was one of the earliest on record in the Napa Valley,
beginning in mid-July, and concluding for most vintners and growers in
the valley by mid-October. While ongoing drought was of great concern to
farmers around California, Napa Valley received 75% of normal rainfall
for the water year, bringing far fewer water concerns.

Winemaking

From Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown on both our Howell Mountain
Three Tears Vineyard and our Rutherford Lone Acre Vineyard, our Rosé
is made in the saignée method by "bleeding" juice from tanks prior to
fermentation. The juice is inoculated and fermented to dryness in small
oak barrels. Prior to bottling, the wine received minimal filtration and
fining to preserve the fresh fruit flavors these vineyards are known for.

Aging

6 Months 50% French Oak, 50% American Oak.

Food Pairing

With its dry finish and balanced acidity, this Rosé
is perfectly suited for al fresco dining and lighter fare.
