Nose

Lovely, fresh floral aromas of lemon blossom and a hint of fennel pollen.

Palate

In the mouth, this wine is lively with lemon meringue and a slight Jordan almond
character mid-palate, evolving to white peach, apricot, vanilla and lightly toasted
pistachio. The finish is delicate but lingering, with a slight minerality.

Growing Conditions

Oakville Ranch is the original mountain vineyard of the Oakville sub-appellation,
a tiny district that produces some of Napa Valley’s most celebrated Cabernets.
A place of dramatic beauty and dedication to organic farming, Oakville Ranch
farms its hollows and terraces in a well-planned program of sustainability, and has
crafted singular wines expressive of its distinctive terroir since 1989.

Although 2014 was another drought year, a lighter, lean canopy and moderate
temperatures allowed gradual ripening and full flavor development. We restricted
ML and carefully selected our oak regimen to preserve the freshness and layered
flavors of the vintage and the singular grapes from the Bobcat block. The results
are stunning, a wine only possible at Oakville Ranch.
