Nose
The aroma recalls delicate brioche, nougat and lemon blossom, opening to aromatic
cardamom spice and coriander.
Palate
On the palate the wine is lively and lingering, with
a hint of minerality and a persistent finish of white nectarine and juicy stone fruits.
Growing Conditions
Oakville Ranch is the original mountain vineyard of the Oakville sub-appellation,
a tiny district that produces some of Napa Valley’s most celebrated Cabernets.

farms its hollows and terraces in a well-planned program of sustainability, and has
crafted singular wines expressive of its distinctive terroir since 1989.
A beautiful concentration of flavors compensated for the small Chardonnay crop
we had in 2015, down 40% in volume and with the earliest harvest on record for
this Chardonnay block.
Harvest
The grapes were harvested August 24, 2015, before the heat that
occurred later in the month and early September.

Winemaking
This wine was 100% barrel fermented
in French oak barrels and completed malolactic fermentation without inoculation.
Aging
100% barrel fermented, Aged 11 months in 50% new French oak.
Appearance
Our 2015 Chardonnay is a beautiful clear light straw color with a slightly golden hue.
