Palate

Affectionately referred to as “Force Tranquil” by Philippe, this seductive wine clearly represents the texture of the volcanic soils with beautiful density as well as refined, soft tannins with an amazing lingering finish of fruit.

Growing Conditions

Montbleau Vineyard is situated on the western side of St. Helena on gentle sloping hills of Glass Mountain off the Silverado Trail. The soil is fractured bedrock with heavy loamy and glass sediments. This 2 acre hillside vineyard is fully exposed to the afternoon sun and is an extremely low yielding vine. The wine is intense and rich with graphite and leather components.
