Nose

Aromatically, this wine is one of the most sensual Zinfandels we make; a sultry combination of spices found in the open market place on the spice island of Grenada.

Palate

Floral notes of wild Herbes de Provence and whipped crème fraiche. Loaded front palate with a mineral backbone that leads to an over the top finish that becomes sultry and long.

Growing Conditions

Our grower Phil Coturri is one of the best vineyard managers in California. He is the lover of all things Rhône! It could be the clonal selection, volcanic red soil, the age of the vines, organic farming, or the Magic of Phil Coturri that makes this wine so special.

Aging

16 months, 25% new French oak, 228L to 350L barrels.
