Nose
Our chardonnay expresses fruit aroma of ripe pineapple, ripe banana, guava, apricot, peach and tropical fruit cocktail. Adding to the complexity, the oak aging is fairly integrated adding spice like nutmeg, light toast, and the nuance of angel food cake.
Palate
This wine has a great viscosity, depth and an intriguing long finish. The flavors are lively on the palate with pear, citrus, lemon-lime, green apple and fleshy peach. This wine shows great complexity, creaminess, and elegance to compliment many foods.
Growing Conditions
The winter continued a dry weather pattern and bud break was early. The growing season was moderate, near ideal, and on an early pace. We started Chardonnay harvest on September 22nd and finished September 26th. Most varieties were harvested in September with a final wrap up on October 10th… getting it all in before any rains developed.
