Nose of cassis and French oak – even before the first taste, an intense, rich, ripe, intriguing wine captures the imagination.

Palate

Seamless and complex harmony – full, rich, exciting and ever-ruminating. A momentary evolution in the glass with fine and abundant tannins balanced by fruit-driven character. Soft and slightly gritty.

Growing Conditions

The 2016 growing season was close to perfection, with dry climatic conditions and moderate temperatures. Full ripeness was achieved prior to onset of winter – a classic Caymus Special Selection.

Aging

Best 5-10 years from vintage date. However, the wine is produced to be enjoyed upon release or can be cellared a decade or more.
