Nose
Deep garnet in color, bold aromas of Crème de Cassis, blueberry syrup and plum compote are presented against of backdrop of earthiness. Intriguing and complex, palate follows the aromas.
Palate
The wine slowly unfurls with time, coaxing out hints of clove, bay leaf and worn leather. Full bodied, it has a firm backbone of ripe tannins and copious amounts of layered black fruit on the lingering, savory finish. Enjoy with grilled steak and Chimichurri sauce, braised short ribs or lamb chops with garlic and rosemary.
