This is a deeply refined Syrah. Our 2015 from Napa Valley is a beautiful blend of three different Syrah vineyards each bringing a unique characteristic to this popular Syrah. The three Syrah vineyards each mature at different times and are therefore fermented separately. Each brings its own character and flavor. Vittorio's vineyard brings the smoked meat and gamey notes; Carsi is wild boysenberry and hibiscus, and Hibbard Ranch brings earthiness, mushrooms and very dark color. All three lots are tasted and evaluated for sensory and texture attributes. We make the best possible blend combination of the three lots resulting in a Syrah that is both earthy and slightly fruity.
