This wine incites with aromas of dense plum jam, currant, sage, and hints of clove-scented leather. Layers of expressive, ripe cherry, cacao, and black fruit build with a rich mouthfeel and supple tannins on the finish.

Growing Conditions

Record-breaking winter rains filled our reservoirs and recharged the soil. Spring and early summer were warm, leading to very strong growth in the vines. The rest of the summer was more typical with warm days and cool nights, providing perfect conditions for the developing grapes. Our yields for the season were slightly lower than average and the resulting wines are classic—with complex flavors and our signature brightness on the palate.

The Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon's herbaceous notes complement most dried herbs, and its rich texture stands up to the weight of a tomato-based meat sauce. Winery Chef Chris recommends pairing with our Herbed Parisian Gnocchi with Fennel Sausage and Stewed Tomato.
