Nose

The aroma jumps off the glass with notes of cedar, cola, violets and blackberry jam.

Palate

The wine is big, yet bright, with a nice dose of tannin and flavors of blackberry, cola, sage and black fruit jam.

Growing Conditions

Petite Sirah grapes are from a vineyard on the southern part of Mount Veeder, with a micro-climate that is mainly influenced by the water of San Pablo Bay. Malbec is from Oak Knoll District, in the heart of Napa Valley. Its vineyard is flat with common temperature swings of 40°F between days and nights. Cabernet Franc is from the northern edge of Mount Veeder at 1,000 feet of elevation. The terrain is hilly and rocky. The mountain’s natural elements force the vines to struggle to reach for water and nutrients, thus, these vines produce the most concentrated and flavorful Cabernet Franc we could wish for.

- Organically grown with minimal intervention in the vineyards and cellar

Winemaking

My inspiration behind the precise blending was the time percentage of the American Elite female winner of 2019 ITU World Triathlon Grand Final in Lausanne, Switzerland. A World championship that I had the honor to race and cheer for Team USA.

Each varietal was picked at its peak ripeness, fermented and aged separately.

Appearance

“The Tri” blend has a very deep dark color that was not interfered with any fining or filtering, allowing more of the color and flavor to shine through.
