Nose

Always intriguing and satisfying, the aromas that are displayed from this Zinfandel bring forth dark fruits, California raisins, forest undergrowth and the faint hint of exotic spice markets.

Palate

The wine is generous and full bodied on the palate, yet still maintains a sense of balance, counteracting ripe fruit against precise acidity and fine grain tannins.

Growing Conditions

2014 was another great year for Napa. The slightly higher rainfall in Spring allowed the vines to access much needed soil water at budbreak. Successful flowering set a good crop, which allowed us to selectively thin throughout the year. The drought conditions towards the maturation phase of berry development gave us concentrated clusters of grapes; perfect for making intense and concentrated aromatic wines, albeit in limited quantities.
