Nose

Expressive aromas of wild blackberry, plum, a touch of anise.

Palate

Dark fruits, plums, blackberries, forest floor and briar on the palate. The tannins are well integrated, allowing for a complex evolution of flavors that drive the persistence of enjoyment.

Growing Conditions

As far as vintages go, 2012 was a dream. The year started off mild without the usual harsh frosts. Favorable temperatures throughout spring delivered successful fruit set and good yields. As the season moved into summer, warm consistent temperatures and gentle breezes from the Bay allowed the grapes optimum conditions to achieve a near perfect balance of fruit, tannins and acid.
