Nose

This classic chardonnay evokes a Burgundian style, with aromas of lemon curd, brioche, white flower, pear, melon and flinty minerality.

Palate

The palate is of medium weight and well structured. Melon and apple carry the fruit seamlessly from the mid-palate through to a clean finish.

Growing Conditions

The 2014 vintage was the warmest on record in Napa Valley and our earliest harvest in 20 years. Late winter rains and warm spring temperatures brought early budbreak. Bloom was early and there was good cluster set. Typical warm summer heat brought the Sauvignon Blanc to maturity a few weeks earlier than normal. At harvest, maturation levels were ideal, crop size normal and quality was very high. We finished harvest with the red Bordeaux varieties by mid-October.
