Nose

A bouquet reminiscent of roses, ripe cherries and smoke.

Palate

Rich flavors of black cherry and plum, all finishing with hints of tobacco and spicy new oak.

Growing Conditions

We celebrate our 30th anniversary in 2010 with this limited bottling grown entirely on the Schug Estate vineyard. It has a
weighty meatiness and smokiness contributed by the Pommard clone grown on the steep rocky slope of block 9 and gently
sloping block 8. The flavors are enhanced by the fruity exuberance of the Dijon 115 clone in block 10, and Dijon 667 clone
in our two smallest blocks P and C.

Bottling

1.5L magnum bottle.

Winemaking

9 days in stainless steel punch-down fermenter, with cap submersion at 8 to 24 hour intervals.

Aging

Aged 16 months in 1 year old French oak barrels.
