Ripe red fruit, cassis and toasted brioche framed by a structure of balanced minerality and supple tannins.
Growing Conditions
Extremely limited irrigation to encourage vine stress; Clone 337 (St Helena AVA), Clone 169 (Calistoga AVA) and Clone 6 (Oak Knoll AVA).
Harvest
Whole cluster hand-sorted.
Winemaking
Five day cold-soak prior to 14-16 day whole berry
fermentation.
Aging
20 Months in French Oak,
12 Months bottle aging.
