Nose
Our 2014 Signature Collection Cabernet Sauvignon
opens with rich aromas of ripe plum and blackberry
and a subtle touch of violet.
Palate
Upon the palate, flavors
of cassis are accented by a hint of black licorice.
The velvety richness of the mid palate carries through
on the finish for a very harmonious sensory experience.
Growing Conditions
The grapes for our Signature Collection Cabernet
Sauvignon are grown in prestigious vineyards from the
western and southern reaches of Napa Valley
including our Rutherford estate. The gravelly and
sedimentary rock soils of our Cabernet Sauvignon
vineyards strain the vines resulting in small, intense
berries with concentrated flavors.
Harvest
The grapes were hand-picked and sorted at the tail
end of September and beginning of October.
Winemaking
The wine
spent 44 days on the skins.
Aging
Aged for 19
months in 35% new French oak. The tightly grained
barrels provide textural complexity, added depth and a
plush, full body.
