Palate
The influence of the cooler vintage can be seen in the black and blue character of the wine – ripe blueberry, black raspberry and black cherry dominate, rather than the straightforward red fruit typical of a hotter vintage. There is plenty to ponder in this wine as well, with nuances of graphite, coffee and tar emerging as the wine evolves in the glass. A generous and open wine with a massive finish
Growing Conditions
The Vintner Select Cabernet Sauvignon, made from 100% clone 337 cabernet, is deep and brooding, with an intensity that nearly rivals that of our Reserve Cabernet.
