Nose

An ample bouquet that highlights aromas of sweet black
raspberry, blueberry pie and cherry cordial amongst wisps of anise, lavender and
toasted vanilla leaps from this deep ruby-black wine in the glass.

Palate

Bright and voluminous,
the palate opens with fruit flavors of red cherry preserves, cassis and raspberry cream
that give way to hints of spearmint, rich caramel and velvety dark chocolate. Silky,
supple tannins and bright acidity provide structure and balance throughout the long
finish.

Growing Conditions

2013 was an ideal season in Napa Valley, with
dry conditions and a long, sunny summer, allowing even ripening and yielding exquisite,
balanced fruit.

Harvest

The fruit for this wine was harvested at an optimal level of ripeness
in mid-October.

Winemaking

The berries were hand-harvested at night, carefully sorted and
destemmed to tank, where fermentation took place.

Aging

60%
new French oak barrels, where it was aged for 18 months prior to bottling.

Food Pairing

Exceptionally balanced and filled with bright fruit, this Cabernet would
prove an excellent companion to a braised duck leg with roasted cherries. For a
delightful cheese course, try serving this wine alongside Manchego, a semi-soft, fruity
sheep’s milk cheese from Spain.
