Nose

This ruby colored Cabernet Franc showcases aromas of cocoa, vanilla and cherry cola with
ripe cherries, dried blueberry, brown sugar, blackberry and subtle notes of rose petal.

Palate

The mid-palate of this
medium to full bodied wine is characterized by sweet, briary cherry and brown sugar flavors, complemented by
baked cherry and suggestions of mocha.. Chewy tannins provide structure and give way to a brooding finish of
tobacco, brown sugar and dried berries.. Enjoy now or you may choose to cellar five to ten years.

Growing Conditions

From three plantings of Cabernet Franc clones in our estate vineyards situated in the Oakville, Rutherford
and Stags Leap District appellations, we showcase the Cabernet Franc varietal in this subtle and complex
blend.

Harvest

The grapes were hand-harvested, cluster sorted and crushed in late September and early October
2002.

Bottling

The wine was bottled without fining or filtration in July 2004.

Winemaking

The wine was then macerated on the skins for 15 to 28 days.

Aging

Aged for 19 months in new and one
year old French oak barrels.
