Nose

Aromas of soft leather, figs, and warm gingerbread round out this formidable wine.

Palate

The structure and seemingly interminable finish of this wine slices down the palate like a liquid Facón, cutting through thick steaks with its well honed tannin edge. The result is strength and structure softly enveloped in kid gloves.

Growing Conditions

The 2014 Brasas evokes one of the key characteristics of a Gaucho — his steely stare. In Argentina Gaucho’s are renown for their ability to peer great distances with an unwavering weather-worn stare.

Bottling

Bottled Feb. 2017.

Aging

Aged 28 months in 71% new French oak.

Food Pairing

Well mannered enough for a fine dinning table, but most likely more comfortable outside by the grill.
