Nose

Our Los Carneros Pinot Noir opens with inviting aromas of cherry,
vanilla, tobacco, red guava, and pomegranate.

Palate

Dark fruit flavors of
raspberry, cranberry, blackcurrant, and more cherry are joined by
hints of pepper, spice and wet earth on the palate. Well-rounded,
with great structure and balance of acidity and fruit, this is an elegant
wine which can be enjoyed now and for years to come.

Growing Conditions

Los Carneros is Napa’s appellation that most resembles Burgundy,
France. This Pinot Noir celebrates the refined elegance, vibrancy,
and balanced style of a classic Old World Pinot Noir. The 2013 growing season proved to be an excellent year in Napa
Valley. It was slightly warmer than 2012, resulting in an overall earlier
growing season. Lower than normal rainfall paired with moderate
spring weather brought early bud break and bloom. Sunny skies
throughout the summer months led to early veraison and harvest.
Warm daytime temperatures followed by cool nights prior to harvest
produced evenly ripened fruit with ideal hang time.

Aging

Ten months of oak aging with 20 days of contact with the skin
provided an impressively full body and mouthfeel. 25% new French oak

Appearance

This might just be the deepest colored Pinot Noir we have ever
seen.

Food Pairing

The depth and richness of this Pinot Noir pairs perfectly with rich
cassoulet and duck confit with a side of roasted potatoes. Lamb stew
would be a great compliment on a cold night
