Nose

This Gewürztraminer based blend begins with exotic fruits and fresh papaya with a touch of minerality.

Palate

The essence of ripe mangos and star fruit continues on the front of the palate and then bursts wide open with the flavors of blood orange and kumquat, filling your mouth with succulent juiciness.

Growing Conditions

along the French and German border and is noted for its
intense aromatics. The Gewürztraminer grapes for this blend were sourced
from just outside the town of Sonoma. Muscat Canelli is a Rhone grape
known for its aromas of sweet citrus. This varietal does well in warm climates,
so it was natural to source this grape from Lodi County, where the growing
season is typically 10-15 degrees warmer than Napa Valley. Rousanne and
Viognier are also from the Rhone region and impart elements of brisk stone
fruit.

Winemaking

Blending grape varietals usually found only in European growing regions, our
winemaker, Shawna Miller, has created a unique and fresh wine. These
individual varietals were classically fermented in steel to preserve the delicate
aromas that are characteristic of these wines. After fermentation, they were
cleanly racked off their lees and sealed airtight to age until ready to bottle.
The three wines were aged separately and then blended prior to bottling in
June 2015.
