Palate

The 2014 Rosso di Sette Fratelli has an abundance of dark berry, cherry and chocolate flavors. It also has a wonderful layer of complexity with the vibrant fruit.

Growing Conditions

This wine was mostly crafted from grapes grown at our Jacuzzi Estate Ranch located in the fog and wind-cooled southern Sonoma Carneros growing region. These vineyards range from gentle slopes to flat land, with soils that vary from deep, gravelly loams to shallow (less than 18 inches) clay and loam.

Winemaking

Grapes are hand-picked and de-stemmed without crushing, minimizing bitterness from seeds and stems, pumped to a stainless steel tank and inoculated with a pure strain of wine yeast. Fermentation temperature is controlled at a maximum of 85 degrees F and the wine is pressed at dryness. Malolactic fermentation is completed in the primary fermenting tank.

Food Pairing

Pairs well with rich, zesty pastas and meat sauces, such as Spaghetti Bolognese.
