Growing Conditions

his wine wonderfully showcases the Sonoma County wine region. We source grapes from all throughout our estate vineyards and specifically sourced growers. Influences range from the cool winds of the Petaluma Gap, the bay fog in Carneros and the ocean influenced Sonoma Coast. All of the sites are ideally suited to each variety, the Grenache in the warmer inland areas, the Nebbiolo is grown on our Estate and the Merlot is from our Carneros Estate. All have been carefully managed and brought together in this harmonious wine.

Bottling

After barrel ageing each lot was carefully blended together and bottled.

Winemaking

Grapes were de-stemmed with minimal crushing, and the must was transferred to a temperature-controlled, stainless steel tank and inoculated with a single strain of wine yeast. Each lot was kept separate and fermented until the right extraction was achieved with an optimal balance of tannin, acid, and alcohol. Each lot went through malolactic fermentation and then racked to a mixture of French and American oak .

Aging

Aged 16 months in French and American oak.
