Nose

Our 2014 Zinfandel Port exhibits a complex nose of cherry cordial, black fruits interlaced with candied orange zest and anise.

Palate

Ripe blackberry, black cherry and mocha flavors are framed by nutmeg and ends with a rich sweet finish. To preserve the depth of character and intensity of flavors, this wine was neigher fined nor filtered.

Growing Conditions

Our 2014 Russian River Valley Port is crafted from old-vine, low-yielding, dry farmed Russian River Valley Zinfandel vineyards. Zinfandel grown in the Russian River Valley is distinctive due to a cool maritime influence. Cool, fog-laden nights and warm days result in wines that have bright, natural acidity and vibrant fruit aromas. These 100 year old vineyards, planted on low-fertility soils are ideal to produce Zinfandel based dessert style wines of exceptional density and purity.

21 months in 100% French oak; 100% Old.
