Nose

This Pinot Noir Rosé promises big creamy strawberry and bright cherry on the nose.

Palate

Staying true to its word, the mouth of this dry wine delivers the fruit promised by the nose and continues on to a crisp finish with lingering black cherry. Basically: what you smell is what you taste, and what you taste is what you smell. What a trustworthy rosé!

Growing Conditions

The growing season 2014 was about as good as we could hope for. We had some relief from our drought with some well-timed spring rain in that allowed us to hold off on irrigating our vines for quite some time allowing us to conserve water. The rains came early enough not to interfere with bloom and we had excellent fruit set. The summer was sunny and mild without damaging heat spikes and ripened our fruit to maturity early.

Harvest

Our harvest began the first week of August, almost two weeks earlier than average. The weather continued to be cooperative through harvest with no rain or heat spikes to worry about. The harvest yield was average to slightly above average which was a welcome departure from the last two years record large harvests. Fruit quality was excellent in sparkling and still wines.

Food Pairing

This Pinot Noir Rosé will be a trustworthy companion to any food adventure you plan on taking. The bright acidity and dry finish of this rosé creates for endless food pairings, making it one of the most versatile wines on the block. To really make this wine pop: try alongside your favorite pasta salad, salmon dish, daring spicy food and rich cheesy concoctions.
