Nose

Appealing aromas of cedar, black raspberry, dark chocolate, and nuances of cinnamon and mint.

Palate

Well-integrated flavors of fruit, coffee, dark chocolate enhanced with hints of black pepper. Good balance and lingering finish.

Growing Conditions

A good, warm and dry growing season through early September. Temperatures cooled thereafter in addition to a few episodes of rain, but warmed up again in early October.

Winemaking

Stainless steel tank – pumpover; 5-7 days fermentation at 75° - 85° F; 5-6 days skin contact.

Aging

Aged in 60 gallon French oak for 24 months.
