Nose

opaque garnet with ruby edges. With massive depth, the aroma opens to ripe blackcurrant, blackberry, blueberry, brambly forest floor, mushroom and black pepper with very well integrated oak spices. The spicy oak has subtle nuances of cinnamon, clove, aromatic cedar, and the overall impression is of a dark chocolate truffle dusted with cocoa powder.

Palate

The entry is full and promising with dark fruit flavors like dark cherry, plum and blackberry with a hint of espresso, while the firm tannins are nicely integrated. With lots of depth and great acid balance, this wine is juicy and rich;
