Growing Conditions
Sourced solely from our estate Silva vineyard, the 2014 Tempranillo is the first vintage from these newly grafted vines. The Silva vineyard is located in the newly created Kelsey Bench AVA located within Lake County. Steele Wines has been crafting wines using the top notched fruit from this vineyard since our inception in 1991.
Aging
A rich and robust red wine, we age our Tempranillo primarily in American oak barrels for 18 months.
Food Pairing
Pair with a perfectly grilled ribeye topped with herbed butter and served with garlic mashed potatoes or rack of lamb with rosemary-thyme crust.
