Growing Conditions

The growing season of 2011 was cooler than normal, and dominated by wet weather in June. By carefully managing our grape canopy and severely limiting the number of grape clusters per vine we were able to harvest earlier than normal, before another significant rain event that occurred in mid- October.

Winemaking

Our 2011 Petite Sirah is still 100% estate fruit, farmed with tender care by the Stanton Family, then sorted, crushed, fermented and barrel-aged under the watchful eye of Dave Phinney, our winemaker since 2002.

Aging

Aged for 20 months in American and French oak barrels
